Arch 20, Hartland Road Arches, Hartland Road, London NW1 8HR
After seven years, our resident timber company Fallen & Felled moved out of Blackhorse Workshop in July 2025, having always maintained founder Bruce Saunders’ mission to give London’s felled trees a second life as timber and furniture, rather than firewood.
Bruce said: “Blackhorse Workshop has been the perfect place to start and grow our business. To build something with wood, you need access to expensive machinery – which isn’t easy to afford early on. Blackhorse gave us workshop space and all the tools we needed to machine timber and make quality furniture, right in the heart of London. It also helped us build a strong community of like-minded makers and customers. Since then, we’ve grown – supplying timber and furniture to hundreds of customers across London and beyond. Now we’re taking the next step: leasing a space of our own and dipping into our savings to buy our own kit!”
The company is now setting up in Arch 20 – a newly refurbished railway arch in Camden. From August 2025, they’ll be open to the public every Saturday, 10am–4pm (midweek by appointment only).
