We offer a range of different sized studio and desk options for established and emerging makers, artists and creative businesses – from desk spaces and enclosed studios to converted shipping container units. We are currently home to over 45 independent designers, carpenters, architects, furniture makers, lighting designers, sculptors, artists, prop makers and furniture restorers who develop their work in a supportive network.

All memberships include access to the Workshop, tools and equipment, and our studios/desks offer 24 hour access. Rents include a service charge to cover electric, water, waste, broadband etc.

We ask you to commit to a three month minimum period, and you’ll need to pay one month deposit upfront, with a two month notice period. We now offer a free wood or metal induction for all new members.

Currently available:

• Studio 1 Desk Space: Standard rent £384 (price includes VAT). We have a limited time discount offer of, New Member 5% Discount for six months or Walthamstow Resident 10% Discount for 6 months. This space is a shared space with 19 other individuals with a board range of backgrounds, including but not limited to wood and metalwork.
• Studio 5 desk (Available 13th July 2026): £478.17 (price includes VAT). This is a Dust-free studio the holds 4 desk and is currently will be shared with two makers. One maker works in design lighting and the other in fashion textiles.
• Studio 3 Desk Space (Available now): £401.94 (price includes VAT). This is a shared space that hold 5 desk areas, with makers that have backgrounds in culinary knife making, carpentry, metalwork design and SFX/VFX.
• Half Containers (Available in a couple months): £402 for Half (price includes VAT). Containers and be a self contained unit or shared between 2 people for a studio space.

Workshop-only membership

If you are a frequent Workshop user but do not need a fixed space/storage, you may benefit more from our 1-month, 6-month and yearly workshop or metal-only membership, which include unlimited bench bookings and other membership benefits, working out cheaper than daily bench bookings if you plan to come regularly. Desk units

Our desk units are within small shared studios and an open plan studio on our top floor, sized approx 0.8m deep, 1.8m wide and 3m high, with room for storage. Monthly studio desk rates start from £384 pcm (inc. VAT). You’re free to customise your desk unit to suit your storage needs – whether it be fabric or tree stumps – but we can offer help where needed.

Studio Containers & Private Workrooms

We have 8 converted shipping containers in our yard, which are £804 pcm (inc. VAT). There are also a range of different sized private workrooms and shared studios available on our ground floor. These spaces go quickly so do register your interest and we can add you to the waiting list for when a space comes available.

Accessibility

Unfortunately our shared desk spaces are up three flights of stairs and not wheelchair accessible. Our containers and workspaces are on the ground floor – please email us with your requirements.
