We are thrilled to announce that Pulse and Pickle CIC are moving to Blackhorse Workshop Cafe!

Pulse and Pickle are a not-for-profit migrant-led cafe and social space. Previously operating on Walthamstow High Street, they have given up their space due to pressures of commercial rents and business rates. Blackhorse Workshop’s mission is to create a nurturing environment for emerging businesses, and we hope that by working together we can develop and grow the cafe at the workshop.

You can expect to see the same staff members and the same great coffee. You can also expect a new menu, Pulse and Pickle is a vegan cafe with a focus on local and ethical supply chains (although diary milk will still be available), and lots of fantastic new events including community meals, film and music nights.

Blackhorse Workshop Cafe was originally developed with our coffee partners @woodstcoffee in 2016, in 2022 Wood Street Coffee moved to bigger premises to focus on the roastery. From 1st July 2026 Blackhorse Workshop Cafe will be operated by Pulse and Pickle- with Blackhorse Workshop and Blackhorse Workshop Cafe becoming two separate social enterprises with their own different but complementary aims. We are excited about this next stage of development, and look forward to welcoming you all and sharing the Pulse and Pickle experience!
