About the Course

On this experimental one day course, you will be introduced to a couple of different methods for Pewter casting; sand casting and pouring directly onto wood with Pewter. You will learn how to put together a wooden box for sand moulds, which can be tailored to your own projects with low melt metals. This will be an exciting opportunity to play with different surface textures in Pewter.

By the end of the day you will have made your very own wearable brooch or a small token.

This course is for anyone who wants to learn the principles of how to make a simple sand moulds for casting small objects to larger objects in low melt metals.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Please dress appropriately for metalwork, no trainers or shorts, we recommend sturdy shoes/boots and jeans or similar. We also recommend sturdy shoes/boots to be worn for woodwork.
