“I came to woodwork crafting after a successful career in the NHS. All of my life I have had a love of wood, dating back to my final year at school when I designed and made a wooden cot for my niece in my woodwork class. Many years have passed since then, but the interest in the craft has not waned. I trained at Building Craft College, East London as a mature student, where I completed the Diploma in Fine Furniture. 

​After completing my course I founded AnnaCornish Essentially Wood to devote my energies full time to creating individual and long lasting pieces at affordable prices. I have a studio here at Blackhorse Workshop, and also work as part of the management team focusing on compliance.
