Nix Studio Ltd is a London-based design practice, founded and run by Tom Howell-Jones, crafting bespoke and stock furniture and lighting products for the luxury market.

Both a maker and a designer, Tom’s approach to design is informed by a range of manufacturing techniques and materials. Whether spinning or bending metal, turning wood or firing ceramics, these processes constantly present new shapes, finishes and textures to bring into his work. The resulting pieces combine clarity, elegance and materiality to create tactile, interactive forms.

Selene Wall Light is a new Nix Studio product launching during London Design Week 2026, available in solid brass, or aluminium and walnut. Selene utilises integrated LEDs and drivers to deliver a compact, considered product. Intended for both residential and commercial environments, Selene brings warmth and softness to spaces, creating a striking focal point.

Tension Stool is the first in a range of furniture free from traditional screws and fixings, held in form through only pressure in the cord below. The stool can be assembled and disassembled endlessly without a single tool.

Salvage Stool was an investigation into the use of waste in furniture. Crafted from waste sawdust and scrap aluminium from local workshops, in a furnace also made from waste, the stool shows the opportunities that can be found through re-using materials and the natural character it provides.
